This conversion is the quickest way to compare bag and bulk pricing: multiply the bag price by 13.5 and set it against the bulk price per yard plus delivery. Bulk usually wins from about one yard up — often by half.
Bags still make sense for small top-ups, tight access, or when the mulch has to travel through the house. One 2 cubic foot bag covers about 8 square feet at a 3 inch depth.
